Now showing
Loud Quiet
Lana Frey
Fourteen new palette-knife portraits, painted fast and left alone. Frey loads colour straight from the tube and rarely revisits a mark — the likeness arrives, or the canvas starts again.
Available now
Sixteen works,
one room.
Every piece below is hanging on the wall today. Tap any work to see it full size — or call in and stand in front of it.
The roster
Eight artists we
argue about daily.
The workshop
The frame is
half the work.
Our framing bench sits behind the gallery wall, not in a warehouse three suburbs away. Conservation glass, rag mats cut on site, and mouldings you can hold before you choose.

Bring it in
A canvas, a jersey, a child's first drawing. We look at it in gallery light with you, on the bench, unhurried.
Choose together
Mouldings and mats laid over the actual work — never from a swatch book. You will know the right one when you see it.
Two weeks, on site
Cut, joined and fitted here in Brighton with conservation glass and acid-free backing. Delivery and hanging across bayside.

“Brighton finally has a gallery worth crossing town for.”
Melbourne Arts Weekly · June 2026
We opened the Bay Street room in July with two hundred and forty people through the door on the first night. It has not been quiet since.
